Reason for sale

My father needs to retire.

Value of the sale...

The value of the sale is from:

(1) the gold ready to be removed and processed from the 2 shafts already started, however we will throw in all the machines and building already on-site.

(2) the complete rights to mine this 1 ha location.  The Mining Claim is valid until June, 2011, and then can be renewed after this time with the Department of Mines and Energy.

D'Aguilar Gold Limited has an exploration license to the area surrounding this location, however, they do not have the right to mine on this 1 ha location.  If they wish to mine this 1 ha, they will need to make an offer to buy the mining claim, so you may be able to make further profits in future from such a deal.

Details on the Samples and Shafts

The samples collected from the 2 shafts have shown the site to have a high volume of gold per tonne, ranging from 40g to 95g per tonne although the shafts so far are only 2m deep. The biggest shaft is 3m x 1.5m x 2m (L x W x H).  This amount of gold per tonne is quite incredible for only being 2m deep.

The Next Stage

Removing the Gold Bearing Hard Rock

Option 1. Using Explosives
For the next stage of gold removal, about 30 x 1.8m deep holes have already been drilled and pegged so that explosives can be used to break up the hard rock.

Option 2. Using a jack hammer
Instead of using explosives, a jack hammer can alternatively be used to break up the hard rock.  This can be neumatic or hydraulic (hydraulic is the more efficient of the two methods, and will not blow dust around).  A jack hammer can be a hand tool, or attached to a larger machine.

Converting the Hard Rock to Gold/Cash

Option 1. Using the rock crusher/dry blower
After removing the hard rock, the material can be smashed in the rock crusher (using the machine provided), put in the dry blower (using the machine provided below), and concentrates can be collected.  Concentrates are easily processed by one of the many refining companies in Queensland, and you will be given cash in hand for your gold.

Option 2. Using the nearby gold treatment plant
Another option is to give the hard rock collected to the local mining company, D'Aguilar Gold Limited, who have their Shamrock gold treatment plant about 20 km South of Kilkivan (about 30km from this site).  They can process the hard rock and extract the pure gold from the raw material.

Keene RC-1 Rock Crusher

This amazing rock crusher is ideal for the gold prospector interested in a light-weight and economical high-speed machine. Material is gravity fed into the hopper and drops into the center of a high-speed tube. The centrifugal force throws the rock into a hardened steel impact wall at speeds in excess of 400 miles per hour. The harder the rock, the easier it shatters into instant powder. If any uncrushable particles are fed into the unit it will automatically pass them without damage or hesitation. All material after crushing then passes automatically into a five-gallon bucket sealed chamber providing a low dust environment. Ideal for crushing all types of quartz, schist, limestone, etc. This new machine is also ideal for crushing black sand concentrates to release any encapsulated micron gold for further processing. Mounted to a vertical 5 horsepower engine, capable of producing up to 2 tons of grind in just one hour in a single pass. Multiple passes may be desired for finer grinds. Designed primarily as a pilot mill and not a production machine. The maximum rock size that this unit will handle is one inch. Weight 85 Lbs.

Keene 151 Vibrostatic Dry Washer

High velocity air passes through the concentrator creating an electrostatic charge to attract gold and other metalliferous values. The hot air from the engine is ducted into the radial blower, preheating the air and concentrator to 50 degrees above ambient making it possibble to process a higher capacity of material and increases the electrostatic charge. An adjustable oscillation system creates increased vibration and air flow at lower engine speeds which increases fine gold production, especially in damp ground conditions. Equipped with an extra large hopper for greater capacity while steeper sides prevent material build up. The folding frame makes this model a dream for quick and easy set up.
